WHO WE ARE

My name is Sylvia. I am the owner of El Jardin de Playa Negra, which I took over from the previous owner Alfredo in May 2024.

I was born and raised in Germany and lived in Switzerland for more than 16 years. All my life, I have been following my career in the financial sector. However, it was always my dream to have my own little Airbnb one day. I’ve always loved travelling and visited Costa Rica and especially Puerto Viejo many times before I moved here. With every visit I fell more and more in love with this amazing place, the beautiful nature and beaches, the wildlife, the fantastic food and the people. I knew, this is the place where I want to make my dream come true. And here I am now, the new owner of El Jardin de Playa Negra, very grateful and blessed to be able to follow my dream.
